What Is Asphalt Patching?

Asphalt patching is a process used to repair asphalt pavements that have been damaged due to wear and tear, potholes, and cracks. This process involves removing the damaged area of the pavement, cleaning it thoroughly, and filling it with hot asphalt mixture.

What Is Spray Injection Patching?

Spray injection patching is a quick, cost-effective and long-lasting road repair technique that uses specially designed equipment to mix and spray a mixture of aggregate and emulsion or asphalt binder over damaged areas on asphalt pavements. The mixture is then compacted using a roller until it is level and smooth. This technique has been found to be highly efficient in preserving and extending the life of roads and reducing motorist discomfort. Spray injection patching allows for a quicker return to service for the repaired roads compared to other traditional methods, making it a preferred choice for both public and private sectors.

How Long Does Spray Injection Patching Repair Last?

The longevity of spray injection patching depends on a variety of factors, such as the severity and frequency of traffic loads, climate conditions, and maintenance practices. Generally, when applied correctly, spray injection patching can last several years and provide durable and high-quality pavement repairs.

Ā

  • Blow any dust or debris out of potholes.
  • Thoroughly tack coat potholes, spalling, cracks, or shoulder falloffs with CRS-2 Cationic Emulsion.
